Churchill – Original Winston Churchill Mixed Media Painting

Churchill is an original Winston Churchill painting by Ben Goymour, created in expressive mixed media on paper.

The portrait is built through layered washes, drawing, paint and gestural mark making. A mostly monochrome palette is interrupted by burnt orange accents, giving the work a raw, immediate quality while keeping the focus on Churchill’s expression and presence.

Ben deliberately leaves evidence of the process visible throughout the work. Fine drawing, loose brushwork, splashes and unfinished marks sit alongside more closely observed detail, creating a portrait that feels physical and immediate.

The work is presented in a deep black frame, with painted detail extending onto the frame itself so that the presentation becomes part of the finished piece.
