About Ben Goymour:

Ben Goymour is a highly respected artist with a passion for teaching and inspiring others through art. A former Army Commando, Ben's journey into the world of art began unexpectedly after being inspired by his frequent hiking trips to the Lake District. Ben wanted a piece of art for his home to capture how he felt when he was on the fells. Unable to afford a painting from a gallery and unable to find something that quite matched the feeling he wanted to capture, Ben decided to teach himself how to paint! This decision marked the beginning of his remarkable artistic journey, an obsession and fast became his own self-made therapy from PTSD and OCD.

Today, Ben is a self-taught full-time artist whose work is sought after by collectors. His mastery of oil and acrylic painting, particularly in capturing the beauty of seascapes and landscapes in a realistic but modern unique style, has garnered widespread acclaim. Ben has also curated a learn-to-paint-at-home tutorial package, which is selling worldwide from his website and is often a guest teacher at schools and collages. Additionally, Ben is a supplier and ambassador for Daler-Rowney paint products, which are supplied in the tutorial packages.

Beyond his artistic pursuits, Ben is a passionate advocate for mental health, particularly for Veterans struggling with PTSD. Ben is an Ambassador of the brand new Armed Forces Business Centre and runs regular workshops for Veterans, serving military personnel, Bluelight members and their Families supports and a big supporter of the charity Phoenix Heroes PTSD Veteran Support and uses his art to raise awareness of the cause. . Ben firmly believes in the therapeutic power of art and has experienced firsthand how it can provide solace during difficult times.

Ben's famous quote, "Art is the best therapy you can lose yourself for years, if more people did art the world would be a better place," encapsulates his belief that art has the potential to transform lives.

In line with his mission to spread the power of art, Ben offers a range of services, including original oil paintings, commissions, prints, one-to-one tuition, online tutorials, school workshops, and group workshops. His tutorials and workshops are designed to equip individuals with the tools and confidence they need to embark on their own artistic journey and discover the joy of artistic exploration.
