Regent Street , London - Original Cityscape

This original oil painting is from my new 2023 Cityscape collection.

This painting of Regent Street in London captures the hustle and bustle. The vibrant colours and texture of the painting truly reflects the energy of the city. It is an oil painting built up with many layers of paint, starting with the darkest colours and layering lighter colours to create depth and motion. I use a combination of techniques, including pallet knives and brushes, which I have developed over many years. With its bold colours and unique style, this painting will be a great addition to any home or office.

When I created my Cityscape style, I wanted it to be completely different to my Sea and Landscapes. I didn't
 want to get caught up in realism, I wanted to be free and expressive, and create something unique and very much "in the moment".
